Life Skills 101 — Series II: Class 9
Service Description
In this class, you’ll learn that marriage is not two people merging into one identity. It’s two whole souls choosing one covenant. Gibran tells us that the strongest marriages aren’t built on fusion, control, or constant closeness. They’re built on sacred unity with space. Space to breathe. Space to grow. Space to hear God for yourself without needing your partner to be your interpreter. You’ll realize why love collapses when it becomes a cage. You’ll learn how to stand together without leaning so hard you both fall. How to share your life without consuming theirs. How to build a “we” that doesn’t erase the “me.” Like the pillars of a temple, you learn that you hold the same roof by standing aside, not on top of each other. This lesson also redefines intimacy: it’s not possession; it’s protection and honor. It’s being close enough to be known and free enough to remain true. You’ll walk away understanding that marriage thrives when both people keep their inner life alive, their friendships clean, their purpose active, and their love rooted in something higher than mood. By the end, the student realizes the goal isn’t to be inseparable but united in a way that transcends personal differences and physical distances.
