Life Skills 101 — Series III: Class 12
Service Description
In this class, you’ll realize why so many people claim they want order, then secretly live for the thrill of breaking it. Gibran tells us we build laws the way children build sand towers, with pride and seriousness, then tear them down laughing, because we’re still learning the true meaning of power and the cost of responsibility. The lesson isn’t “rules are bad.” The lesson is that man-made laws can be played like a game of poker or wielded like a weapon, depending on who has the strongest hand. You’ll learn to spot the difference between law that protects life and law that promotes egos. Some people treat life like stone and use law like a chisel to carve the world into their own image, punishing what they don’t understand, resenting what they cannot do, and calling their shadows “justice.” That’s the trap: when you’re turned away from the sun, you may chase shadows on the ground until you entirely forget how to tell the difference between what's reality and what's false. By the end of this lesson, the student understands the higher purpose: the easier it is to be honest with yourself, the more difficult it is to be falsely led. Then each one, teach one! Laws should never replace conscience, compassion, or wisdom. And if you continue walking towards the light, you won’t need chains to keep you on the right path because your character will be your covenant.
